Sideview of the Merkavas

So here is another pic in continuation of last week. The Sideview of two Merkavas II guarding the airport as the sun begins to set.

The collectible is not awesomely done but i hope the background and the shading makes up for it. Enjoy. :D

Merkavas at the runway

Other News: Still trying to convince Josh to Buy GHQ... and i hav eyet to do anything from what i last said.... Been busy wif SIMCITY 4 and making my military bases in the cities i have build... Been playing too much of it.. HEHE. it will be a while before i get back on the Modern Military hobby Train of thought..

Merkavas on patrol

The Merkava variant 2. Undoubtedly the biggest tank I have seen so far. A giant even among it brother MBTs. It has similar characteristics in terms of arnament and range and speed as its western counterparts. With a 120mm Cannon, a range of 500km and a 54kmh speed, it packs a formidable punch.

Here is a pic of two Merkavas patrolling around an airport.

The Merkavas guarding the airport

Nothing much on my progress of Military Models. Still thinking of what paintbrush to get. Perhaps I might research on stores in KL that provide airbrushes and modelling equipments..

Other than tht, there is nothing much. Still looking on what to buy from GHQ and will consolidate with my frens.

Trying to create a Blackhawk Down Ambience

Hi Again. After Talking about Last weeks entry, Just felt like putting more pics that give me more memories of Blackhawkdown. here we have the AH-6 Little Birds and a Humvee near by. All vehicles were part of the movie.

A Did You know fact: The UH-6 has been modified and used as a UAV. It has been used for Unmanned Little Bird Programme to gain experience in Unmanned flight.

Helo Task force in Camp

The Blue Hue over the Little Birds as a Hummer watch from the Side.

On a side note, although i have and will not be active for military model kits. I have a few more desire to expand my collection. Oh yes.. you bet yer. Im thinking of getting GHQ models for both Air, Land and Sea to paint, on top of what i have now. This will mean getting a collection of a different scale and also integrating the colour green into my collection. As for the near future, I will have to upgrade my Destroyer and fix more ships in the years to come.

Of which, I have a Kirov-class Cruiser, Pyotr Veliky to deal with. An US Amphibious Landing Ship and a few Russian Missile Corvettes to go. Life is hard. :p

The Little Bird Assembling.

Hey Hey again. Time to show a lil more different stuff on the Blog. Ever since i caught the show Blackhawk Down which for me became one of the most awesome modern day combat shows up to date, i ahve never really been able to shrugg off my likeness for the UH-60 Blackhawk Helo and the really small yet vicious MH-6 Little Bird.

What really appealed to me is when the Delta force team members were sitting on the side of the birds when they got ready to deploy onto the mission ground. Another great scene is the one where the Little Birds when on a full auto firing run on the Somalians.

The MH-6 has an attack variant called AH-6. To pilot the Little Bird requires a crew of 2, goes at a max speed of 282 kmph and a range of 430km. It can hold an armanent payload of 4 Hellfire Missiles, 70 Hydro Rocket Pods , Two 7.62 M134 Miniguns or Two 50 cal. GAU-19

Enjoy

Today, I have been reviewing what i should do in terms of projects when i go back to KL and somehow im in a stuck on what to do. THe reason being the fact that i wanna start out my painting with airbrushing. Only problem is i dun have an airbrush and most good ones cost a lot at the moment.

Thankfully, i found a model shop in Singapore that provides great diorama, airbrush and tools for my model kits that i can probably used next time when i have enough cash to buy it.

As for now, i tink i am goin got take a breather on painting Military stuff. Will still be finding a plastic transparent case for my models.

Thats about it for my projects. In any case, its going smoothly and I am confident i can finish by the end of the year.

There also has been talk about my stigma for green which is relatively true even though the army's primary colour is green in the armed forces. Never liked the blending of green with other colours. Don't ask me why, but it was just some wierd stigma of mine and im sur emany may have noticed in most of my blogs, there is hardly a big splotch of green right up ur face.

But as for now, i want my military collectibles and models to be as realistic as possible. On top of that, somehow i seem to be able to get pass the stigma of the colour green not only in my military collection but also in my other hobby collections.

So you will be seeing green colour real soon :D On top of tht, im actually displaying more green all over my hobby collection. Finally making some changes in my life and my wierd stigma. We all have our idiosyncracies. Some ppl detest the colour red or blue or yellow to similar or different extents, but as for me.. im gonna try to eliminate it once and for all. For all colours brighten up the world.. OH YEAH

Cheers

Another View of the British MBT

Continuing with the Challenger 2 MBT. So far, 400 plus have been built for the Great Britain's Defenses. At the same time, it has been exported to Oman, which by far, is the only importer of Challenger 2 tanks.

It has an operational range of 450km, possesses a nuclear, biological and chemical protection system in the turret bustle and is one of the most heaviest armoured main battle tank in the world. Gosh I so love being a nerd. :D

Troops back up the Challenger

Challenger 2 tank with GDI Troopers on the roll.

As for now, i am just contemplating on how to organise my various pending projects such that i am able to handle them and do it. Thinking of doing airbrushing too but it gets a lil tough on my finances and airbrushing overseas in KL would be pretty hard for myself..
Gotta plan this right.. But now.. just gonna carry on enjoying the hols.. :D

Back in Action

Hello all again. Finally back in action after the long exam period. So its back to more pictures and more military collectibles and models. Oh yeah

Since i shall be doing a few photoshoots with My buddy, Joshua, his collectibles shall be my feature of the day.

Made by Alvis Vickers, this 7.9 million USD British Monster of a Main Battle Tank, the Challenger 2, packs an awesome punch with its 120mm cannon and classified Chobham armor. It has a crew of 4 and travels at a speed of 37mph or 59 kmh. On top of that, it has proven worthy in the Iraq War and has a very good record in terms of survivablity in battle.

I present to you, the Challenger Tank 2 in Black and White.

The Challenger 2

Josh's Challenger Tank

On a Side Note, I have already finish my Mig 29 and i have already done my paint upgrade for my FOV Soldiers. Need to put the finish touch on my Battlefield EVO Soldiers so i can proceed to work on my next few projects for my military collection.

On top of tht, i seem to be running out of space to display stuff yet again for my Military collection. Might need to think about actually getting some Plastic Cases to create more "top"level spaces, or fully utilised wasted vertical space. But of course, that will also depend on my finances. :D

Till next entry. Cheers

V22 in its Airbase

Here is another very simplistic pic of my collectible V22 in a airbase. Nothing much extraordinary though i always wanna try and make something look great with my collectibles. BUt tht always requires painting it over and also having great diorama, which i unfortunately do not have the money for all of it.

Funfact: Did u noe that although its maiden flight was in 19 march 1989, its initial introduction was 8 December 2005, some 16 years later. Crazy shit.

Anyway, it seems to be the future even though its cost is quite hefty too due to the Iraq war.

V22 in the airbase

DSHCC Airforce Base with V22

Notification to all, I will be finishing up painting my Forces of Valour Infantry and My Mig 29 by tail end of June and start with the next project for the holiday break.

Furthermore, i will be going on a hiatus to attend to my busy exam schedule. I will be returning with entries by the tail end of June. The next entry shall start around 25th June. Till then, hang tight and do come back when im back ;)

V22 Part 2

I really dont have much time to do as many models and tht is where my collectibles for my military collection comes in handy. With a lil digital photgraphy effect and imaging.. i can make it look relatively alrite. So anyway, here is the follow up of the V22 Osprey and the colour pic version.

V22 in the blue sky

Zoom Zoom (Yes im fully aware tht this Micromachine lacks the fine details)

Although the Osprey cost 70 million now, the US Defense hopes to shave the cost by another 10 million. In any case though, research for new warmachines of the future cost a lot. The V22 Osprey does not even take up a significant proportion and its programme cost is already 50.5 billion dollars in 2005. OUCH

Th progress of my mig 29 is near the completion mark. The primary coat has been totally applied and now i am proceeding to do my final highlight an dfinishing up the Mig 29 and proceeding by painting the Force of Valour Figures.

Cheers

V22 Osprey in the sky

V22 in B&W

The hybrid of the sky. Half helo, Half plane, This flying machine is iconic to the US Navyand Marine for its land forces operations.

The Osprey is the world's first production tiltrotor aircraft, with one three-bladed proprotor, turboprop engine, and transmission nacelle mounted on each wingtip.

It can carry a maximum of 32 troops and travelled at a max speed of 509 kmph.

It has minimum machine gun armanent. Despite many controversies and issue with the V22, it has performed well in conflict zones and it proven battle worthy as a transport carrier as it has also replaced the CH46 Seaknights in the Marine Corp.

On a side note, Im already attaching the missiles of the Mig 29 together and i will be applying the second coat to make the Mig 29 look pristine and nice. This will also be followed by inking. Things have been pretty much busy still. But at least for now, i have a breather for the weekend in which i can relax before the going gets tough. Too tough to get into my hobbies again. :p

Its Euro Troops!!

Hey hey,

This is a rather plain picture. as i lack the diorama, but well.. i dont have an abundance of cash. Hence i havent really got nice dioramas. But still love the BFE figures.. They look really awesome. The quality is not bad in my honest opinion. So here they are.. British Troops! Provided by Joshua

SAS Leads the way
GDI Troops Lead by the Special Force Unit with the Jungle Hat, in the plain desert.

SAS lead the way!!!

Well.. its been a while.. And progress is put to a halt this week as i make my way back to the motherland for a short stint.. before i continue my life back in KL. So nothing much going on. The Future of Warfare entry will come soon. So Dun worry.. relax and it will come soon.

Taking off.. Mission Begins

Im slow on entries because im busy.. tired and preoccupied.. But well sorry for the delay but here is the entry

And so as the roar of the engines echo throughout the large expanse of the airbase, the F15D lurch forward.. gaining a fistful of thrust and increase in such immense speed to go airborne.

This pic shows a close-up of the F15D going airborne. The Angle of the shot is nicely done with a slight tinge of the silouette effect going on. Fantastika! And the sky background gives a very nice feel to the picture.. LOVE SKY!!!

F15D Taking off

DSHCC F15D lifts off for Fire Mission..

On a sidenote, it will be in no time before my Mig 29 is done and i shall be moving on to another military project. But of all the kits and painting i needa do, its the ships that will be the tough task. Have to do some upgrades for my Arleigh Burke Destroyer too.

Well its a brief entry this time.. Going off to get some rest.

Falling out.

The Eagle in check

Yet another week with the F15D Eagle as the focus. Sorry im a bit late for entries.. But i hope it wasnt to painful a wait :P The Picture is taken with the F15D in a position in the runway, awaiting orders to take off. The horizon gives a very surreal feel of the whole picture.

F15 on the Runway

Im Just so in love with the pinpoint macros of the SLR Camera that makes the F15D look all the more special. Great plane that will definitely be a dominant fighter for many long years to come.
It is also good to know that Singapore will have a set of thiese battle proven airforce fighters.

Onto model kit progress, i seem to have a brief moment of time in the start of the week and was able to assemble the entire Mig 29 without weapons and with primary colour put on. So progress is good and i should be done in no time. But gotta try and salvage some flaws in my model kit but other than tht.. I should be starting on my Forces of Valour infantry.. after doing the Mig 29 in a jiffy.

Cheers

The Wings of the Eagle

Yet again.. here is a picture of the F15D.. in a different view.

Personally i think it is not bad a picture as ift shows the F15 from a different angle and the contrast of colours is a fitting shade for sunset period.

The stats of the F15D have been said before. This time.. this entry will let the picture do more of the talking as it shows its fearsome structure and powerful Engines

Backview of the F15D

DSHCC Airforce F15D in a anonymous airbase... Sunsets on the eagle.

With regards to my military modelling... Still on the Mig.. with some progress done, which is good, knowing that things have been so crazy since the last entry. Will probably proceed to do more on it... Other than tht.. there has been nothing much going on with regards to military models. But im sure there will be something up soon.

Enjoy :D

Sharpshooter

Hello again and it is the next entry even though i really do not have the time to do a lot of other stuff due to assignments ins chool that are due.

Today, it is features the Sharpshooter of the Squad. Still in the Same scene.. The Focus is on th esection's sharpshooter in a firing position.. ready for any enemy attack.

The squad stands in a defensive formation behind the sharpshooter.. combing the urban area.
Yet another photo with similar effects.

Zoomup on the Shooter

GDI Sharpshooter.. checking for any dissidents or enemies in the urban area.

What can i say? Life is full of things that are interrupting my plans i have for the hobby or it just destroys time that is required to do other stuff. I have been dormant for quite a while due to my work outside my hobbies.

Like they say, every plan doesnt survive its first contact.. and it is sounding more true as each day goes by...

Will let you noe about it more. With regards to finding BFE miniatures... will help u guys find a few places.. The webbie josh has mentioned practically sold out on all of it. Will see what else is going around for it

Cheers

Its BFE Galore!

Greetings.

Its been a long rough days since i last posted, hope u all understand the crazines sof life sometimes,

Now i shall be featuring some Battlefield Evolution Figures that are provided by both Joshua and Me. This pic is provided by Joshua's Power SLR Camera and it features some UK troops. Pretty Awesome figures as the previous entry figures. The eyes are a lil wierd but i must say, it still looks good for the scale.

Here U have a section of Troopers combing a Conflict Urban Area and searching for enemy units. The Picture is quite cool in the fact that the SLR focuses on the Jungle Hat Soldier in the foreground than the background unit... I have also put the whole B&W look to it.. to give it a nice ambience.

GDI Troops on the Move

GDI Troopers on the Prowl.

Hi all, Its been rough days and nights.. little sleep and little shit. I havent touch my mig since i am back. But i am already planning on what else to bring to KL to do a paint job. It will most probably be the Soldiers in the Forces of Valour in which i will remodify some colour codes of the figures.

But as for now, i gotta catchup on life and energy before i can continue my project.

Enjoy the Entry!

The Start of the 2008 Compendium

And so as i finish my last catalogue of pics taken wif josh. I will continue now wif the new batch that Josh and I have taken when we met up again during the hol last 2007. And with regards to the pics, i must say, the picture dynamic is getting better ontop of making more nicer perspective shot.

So without furthur ado, here is my first pic which is a really nice perspective one of a squad of DSHCC Marine soldiers witht he bright sky background behind them. Making them silouettes and having the whole "Band of Brother" theme to it.

Modern Band of Brothers

A real nice pic arranged by Josh and I and it took us a while to get it to the right sharpness and detail.

This figures are from the Battlefield Evolution Set which I bought and Josh gave to me from the US. Awesome Figures and great details for something of tht scale which is 1/72.

Onto news down here, I am still in the midst of making the Mig 29, but i am also busy being a study freak and a party animal. So theres hardly anytime left to do my project. But i will get on to it soon. Thats for sure.. Now its time to get drunken like a sailor.. and party like a soldier ;)

Best shot of 2007

I tink this is by far, one of the most nicest military shot tht i got in 2007 when i did it wif my good fren, Joshua. Here we have the silouette of a British Machine Gunner, staring at the distance while the sun is behind him.

The background is natural. All we needed to do is get the right angle, so that the silouette will look perfect. We got 3 nice shots from the photoshoot tht required the British Soldier Model.

The model was also graciously provided by Joshua.

All the pic gives a sense of solitude in the midst of War Conflict. It gives a personal perspective to being in a warfront as it shows the British Soldier having some solo time while on guard patrol. I really like the whole atmosphere of the picture and it gives a sense of security and warmth when i look at it.. As i noe that all countries have their individual soldiers who are defending their nation while we get to enjoy the peace anad luxury of civilian life.

Hope u like the pics.

Soldier at the Horizon
Mel, the British soldier, slings his MG over his shoulder while the sunsets before him.

Machinegunner of the Frontline
MG over his shoulder, Mel looks onward to the horizon.. Contemplating about life back at home..

Sunsets on a Soul

As the sun continues its descent, Mel walks on, doing his guard patrol..

The pic gives a sense of serenity in the midst of a conflict which requires the action of a soldier.

And with regards to making my Mig 29, im HARD AT WORK.. for this weekend.. but i must say.. its been busy for me the past week and so I will need be taking a breather from work and do some fixing up! I shud have brought more models but oh well... dun tink i will have time as my curriculum gets more packed.

On guard!

This is a follow-up to last week entry of the Infantry Squad. Upon detection of suspected enemy threat.. The troopers are on all round defense. A machine gunner with an M60 Machine gun is backed up with a trooper to go to the front to prepare a defense perimeter as the other troopers in the squad are on alert.

I hardly ever feature my micromachine infantry.. so i hope u appreciate this pic for what it is. It has less of a one colour hue compared to the last entry's pic.

Soldiers in the Urban Zone
I like the Shadow tht covers the Commander's face to give it an aspect of the Leader and a sense of anonimity in the troopers.

Model Kit update, I have been busy getting myself set into life overseas, i have taken a break for a while.. Will get to it in the weekend...

Till then.. CHEERS ALL!!

Soldiers in the Street

Here are the Soldiers of the DSHCC forces, patrolling the urban streets and looking out for enemy hiding near by. Squads of infantry comb the urban area to search for hidden enemies that could ambush armour and air units.

Their daily routine is filled with the danger of direct confrontation firefight, booby traps and the handling of civilians and unidentified personals that could poised a potential threat to them.

I particularly like this pic cos i have used a great background with scale to the Soldiers from the micromachines. They look good with the background nad even though they are not detailed figures. They do just fine in the picture.

Urban Conflict

Commander of the Squad halts his men as he suspect enemy threat in the front.

AND so back to my progress on Militart Modelling. At the Moment, i have been doing quite well wif regards to painting up the Mig 29. But i must say, even wif spray undercoat of black and two to 3 coats of acrylic paint, it is quite hard to make the colour dense on the plastic. But I manage to do it anyway... And it shudden be long before i start assembling it. :)

Then i will be left with stuff from SG tht i will complete either in june or i will bring it up to complete in KL. during the short holidays.

At the moment, the big projects are the ships, which i will have to do in SG... But other than tht.. Pretty much everything is good.

Till the next entry.. Cheers

Aspect pic of the UH-60

I seem to have a thing for the Blackhawk copters. They looks so sleak and robust.. and yet at the same time , they represent the modern era of combat transport helicopters that are highly adaptable to any terrain and to any mode of operation.

Here is yet another pic of the helos on the ground with a more dynamic and natural contrast of colours. This time, it is a Sunrise picture.. and it looks good with the helicopters. Hope u like it! Enjoys..

The Day begins for the UH-60s

Sunrises on the BLackhawks

On a sidenote, i have prepared to finish the Mig 29 during my stay overseas. Today, i shall finish all the paint jobs and convert of all my micromachines and add yet another accomplished project from last year. Still contemplating on what more to bring for my military collection. But i tink i will just stick to the Mig 29 first.

My Fren's parent got me a really cool shirt on models though. Its a nice design of a sprue wif many air to air missiles on it.. Real awesome.. Will show u all soon. :D

Till next entry.. Cheers

Experimentation

Been playing around with the scenery along with the UH-60 Blackhawk. Here is another pic of a few Blackhawks in a helo base that are ready to move troops where they are badly needed. Their silouette giving a nice ambience of peacetime as they are not needed while the sun sets behind them.

I did a touch of blueish hue to make it look more surreal, amplifying a more abstract feel to the picture. Enjoy! :D

The Dawning at the Base
Sunsets.. on a DSHCC Helo Base.

On the modelling note.. I have completed quite a few vehicles.. Leaving only the Humvee and the Mig 29 left. But things are gonna be busy for me as it is the Chinese New Year Festive Season and i have to prepare to go overseas. So i will see how much i can do before i go off.. and probably plan on what im gonna bring to KL to do too.

Till then.. Cheerios.

UH-60 Blackhawk

Ever since i watched the Movie Hit "Blackhawk Down" i have really took a great liking for the Utility transport helo. The UH-60 Blackhawk and its Navy Counterpart the SH-60 Seahawk are the replacements to the aging UH-1 Huey Helo. Its twin turbine turboshaft and single rotor is the heart of its lift and flight in the sky. It can carry 14 troops or 6 stretchers and can travel at a speed of 357 km/h for 592 km.

It has many variants that do many specific task missions. From anti-submarine warfare to attack to oter utilty task, the UH-60 Blackhawk is a versatile helo of the 21st Century that can also wield 2 M60 machine guns or M134 miniguns.

Operation Standby
Total Alliance UH-60 Blackhawk on Standby mode..

On a Sidenote, I have concluded that i will not be able to finish my 2007 project for military on time. And tht means that even as i go overseas to study, i will not be able to complete what i set out to finish last year. Hence i shall be combining both 07 and 08 Projects together to be finished by this year.

You will see the next projects in progress coming up soon. Im already finishing up quite a lot on the military side.

Signing off.

Another View of the Hind E

So its another day of features and I am a lazy ass so this is another Hind Pic at a different angle. It is quite a cool view.. but im sure not many helicopters can fly at the height in which this picture depicts the Mi-24 Hind E

But it is all in the fun of having background and all. In any case, it has a Service ceiling of 14750ft or 4500m so it is possible to climb above the clouds for the Hind E.

The Hind Attack Helo
Hind E way up in the sky.

With regards to my projects.. I am so fucking slow, i do not think i can complete last year stuff in time. The reason i ams wearing cos its infuriating to not have either energy or time or even both to complete the stuff i meant to do..

OH well, hopefully things will take a higher pace an step up in momentum for me to do more.
Till then, he new gallery of pics will be out soon. Cheers.

The Mi-24 Hind Helcopter

What can i say. This bad-ass attack helicopter not only can kick ass on the battlefield, it can also carry passengers around. It has been in every major Soviet Conflict snce its maiden flight in 1969 and its introduction in 1972. It still remain relevant and has been the icon of soviet attack helicopters, including being featured in Command and Conquer Red Alert.

I love its airframe and cockpit structure and it will definitely stay relevant as a support attack helo for years to come.

Enjoy the pic of the Crocodile of the Sky.. or the "Letayushiy Tank"

The Mi-24

The rotors are able to be seen as rotating in this pic due to doing a few snapshots after I rotate the rotor manually.

See ya next week.

Humvee and the Leopard 2A4

Welcome all to a new year. Its 2008 and well new projects soon enuff. But i must admit i am really really behind schedule on the old projects, the planning of new projects and event he photoshoot.

Life has kinda been going on a 150 km/h pace for me.

But lets cut to the chase of the pic. Today, its the German Leopard 2A4 along side with the HMMWV in the same setting as the previous pic. If u notice though, the scale is the same but it is quite obvious that the Leopard Detail seems better than the Humvee.

Humvee with Leopard 2A4
The Leopard 2A4 and Humvee (Main focus)

The German Tank and Humvee
Humvee and Leopard 2A4 (as main focus)

The Coalition of Two forces onward to the next conflict region....

Anyway, on a sidenote, i have almost completed my next M1A2 and am beginning to finish everything else. I have also schedule my next photoshoot for my military models with my good pal, Josh and i will be play testing the Battlefield Evolution Game.

Till then... Signing off.

You cant see any conflict without it

The infamous Humvee. Although its just a big jeep that has the least armour among many vehicles, it carries a considerable amount of passengers and is able to perform many roles in any conflict zone.

Basically, i like the m1114 and its multi purpose variants. They dont call it HMMWV for nothing. a.k.a "High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle".

The Long lonely Road
The Long and Lonely Road..

Here is my pic of the humvee jus before sunset. It is the Humvee with the 50 Caliber Machine Gun mounted on top. Damn i like the pic and the whole "lonely atmosphere".

Nothing really going on other than my picture feature today. Will be doing my next m1a2 conversion, but that will be about it.

See ya all.

The Air Support that Brings Hell to the Enemy

When you hear the sound of papper tearing from above, it means trouble. For the only rasping that comes from above, is from the Vulcan Cannon that is carried by the A10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog" Aircraft. It is an Air Support Unit that aids ground forces in taking out strong armor and infantry resistance. It can carry AGM-65 Maverick air-to-surface missiles, Mark 84 general-purpose bombs and its 30 mm (1.18 in) GAU-8/A Avenger gatling gun can unleash hell to ground forces.

Although it has a travelling speed of only 832 km/h and a combat radius of about 250 nautical miles, it brings more meaning to the word "Death from above" in modern warfare than ever before.

The Fire of the Sky. A10

My A10 isnt really well painted at all because it was done during my early secondary school times in which m standard isnt as good compared to now. In any case, i wanted to photograph it in a good angle with a great visual perspective to it and digitally alter it such that the colour looks as good as possible even with the apprentice-like standard of painting.

Onto other note, I have already experimented on the Callof Duty 4 Multiplayer. DAMN MAN, it is so great! Very Fast upload time for a high graphic game with little lag (Compared to BF2). Although there is no interactivity with aircraft, vehicles and boats (unlike BF2), it makes up more than ever, on graphics, gameplay and variety of weapons and scenarios. The maps are not as big as BF2 maps but i can say its Multiplayer adds even more value to the Call of Duty 4 game.

The Ranking system on the other hand, is a bit too easy to progress on. My friend, Qap, is already a Captain after playing not so long. Unlike BF2 where the ranking system requires u to WORK REAL HARD for it. And even then, u gotta have great skill to achieve certain ranks.

But overall, a satisfied modern combat game. 3x Hurrays for it. Go grab one NOW!

Another sidenote is that I have completed one conversion of my M1A1 to M1A2 and it looks great. Will be showing it soon.

Till the next photo feature and more...
See ya ;)

The Call of Duty 4 Review

For this week, i am back with a game review, rather than a picture feature. And the game i shall be talking about is Call of Duty 4.

Call of Duty 4 is the first modern combat storyline game for the Call of Duty Series. It is set in the modern time when terrorism has taken a new twist and have rise up as a force that is far larger scale than it is today. Extremist Leaders wreck havoc in their individual countries and working together in a terror network to direct destruction against the Western powers.

Although I have sort of played the other Call of Duty, I cannot really compare them with this game as I am always more particularly interested in Modern Warfare. But one thing is for sure, this game has a very good singleplayer storyline with a very realistic, interactive and ingenious gameplay that makes me feel so engross in it.

The Cinematic In-game transition is so smooth and alike that it really gets you pumped up for action. You play the character of one USMC Marine Sergeant and one SAS Operative in this game. All i can say is the plot is great and it is one hell of a game which is a must buy. Its like playing in a movie and although this concept is not new, Call of Duty 4 has amazing graphics without requiring too much from ur PC (My PC is close to 5 years old and i still can play rather smoothly) and all the weaponary and awesome gameplay to show for.

I havent touch on the multiplayer aspect of this game, but Call of Duty is worth its money for its Singleplayer. This is so, even though many ppl including my friends are disappointed at the fact that this First Person Shooter game is amazingly short compared to contemporary one, but i feel that each missioin and plot makes up in depth for what it lacks in length.

I will most definitely review on the multiplayer aspect once im donewith the singleplayer game. But as or now, i mut advice u to get ONE as it is definitely a Standard issue for Modern Warfare Enthusiast and First person shooter manaic alike.

Its not a choice.. Its Mandatory! Standard Issue!

Securing the Parameter.

The conflict zone has begun to stabilised but it is important that DSHCC forces secure the area and keep order while the fundmentals of new governance and a new defense force is created and established properly.

This can be seen as the M2A2 Bradly IFV rolls down the urban areas to keep watch of any violators of peace and insurgents still upset at the utter defeat by the Total Alliance forces that were approved by the UN to take action.

This is still the same M2A2 that was provided by my fren Joshua. While the concept and idea of the picture taken with the background was thought by me. I must say that it looks rather realistic and has a good touch to it. Im sure theres gotta be something good about it. Don't u tink so? Let me know.

Besides that, I will be planning to do all the painting upgrades of the M1A2, M1A1, M2A2 and Humvee by this month end. I will also fiish the 1/144 Mig 29 by December end. The Arleigh BUrke Flight 2A Destroyer will be completed by January 2008. After tht, i will plan for the new projects for next year. Till then Enjoy.. and See ya soon

Urban Warfare

Harloe there again, and Im back with more modern military news

Well today feature is contributed from Joshua Foong, my good ol buddy and his M2A2 Bradley from the Forces of Valour. It is a really cool shot wif the urban background at the back. I must say, it has a great look to it. The Colour tone also gives it a really dirty and dusty atmosphere which makes the pic look cooler.

And here it is.. The m2A2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle.

As u can see, the side of the M2A2 has a open-air grilled compartment for troops to store their equipment. This is preferbly not the case when a full battle gunfight is in progress as many of their equipment might be damaged from the shrapnels and bullets.

In any case.. the M2A2 Vehicle has proven in at least more than 2 conflicts that it is battle-worthy and deadly. I might have mentioned before and that is, with its 25mm Bushmaster Cannon, and an ability to store 6 man, it is a vehicle with great capabilities and also can keep up with armoured elements.

Onto other topics, i am in mid-process of painting my M1A2 tanks. Recently, i needed to restock my paint and hence there is a halt in progress of my painting for my military models, but as for now, i am back on track and ready to paint them again.

Other than tht, I am very keen to acquire the game, Call of Duty 4 with it modern military warfare aspect and great features in the gameplay. It has good single player gameplay with a unique gaming system and also and incredible 9.5 rating on gamespot. Go check it out.

CALL OF DUTY 4 is the talk of the town for games and it is also the only Call of Duty that is set in Modern Warfare Era.

Last View

And so my final view of the Adelaide Class a.k.a O H Perry Class Frigate and the Russian Sovremenniy Destroyer.

The two warships take their final sail together before they part their ways on their own seperate journey in the vast ocean with conflict and tension solved and settle between the two sides.

Notice my converted VLS system mounted on the O H Perry class Frigate to identify it as the exact Adelaide Class Frigate know as the HMAS Sydney. I believe i have mentioned it before, but till now im still rather satisfied at my conversion. I do look forward to the time when i tackle on the Pyotyr Veliky Cruiser and make it look even nicer than my plain old Sovremmenniy.

This is so definitely Nerd talk. And so as my exams are over.. Its time to tackle all projects and settle it before the year ends.. Gonna be tough.. but i gotta do what i gotta do. First thing will probably be my re-paint job i will be doing on the armor vehicles.

On top of that, i will be starting to take my new photoes and themes for my military collection. Hopefully, My buddy, Josh will contribute his helpng hand sand camera expertise to come up wif the new set of photoes for my military and other collection

Will keep u peeps updated soon.

(Honestly, I am quite happy with the quality of my frgate and the upgrade and modifications i have done with it)

Well, another 2 weeks more before i can start on my model projects again. It will be time to unleash the yearning within.. MUAHAHAHA

On top of that.. im gonna add some modification to my DDG Arleigh Burke Class Flight I Destroyer with regards to certain Radar avionics that were not present in the kit due to the recent upgrades of a lot of Arleigh Burke Destroyers.

Will be back soon.

Diplomacy on the Sea?

The Australian HMAS Sydney is alongside a Soviet Russian Sovremmeniy Destroyer. Obviously to close for combat, yet is it too close for comfort?

Really like this pic, and it is a pic of one of my good works, the HMAS Sydney. The so-so done Sovremmeniy was my first ship that isn't a US Ship, started a n ew paint code.. but did not achieve the refined finished product to it but i noe i can do better now. :D

Diplomacy on International Waters.

With the rising tension betwen the Total Alliance Countries and the Horizon Power. The World and its various defense force in their own specific countries, remain on a high security alert in protecting their own self-interest. Perhaps a truce or an agreement has been made betweent he Australian HMAS Sydney and the Soviet which is forged out from the deduction of this picture.

Anyway, time approaches and the battlestations must be manned. Production shall start soon, and so will the end of a scenario conflict between DSHCC forces and PTT as the Senior HQ command of DSHCC forces are planning their final last offensive to end this misery .

Till then.. there are a lot more great features comin.. and my next photoshoot of my military collectin will have more figures, more models and a lot more diorama.. and better improvements for SURE

Stay Tuned :D

Wow another Website for Tabletop Gaming

Hey Hey, Im back even though I dun need to be. Well yet again, i have stumbled upon another tabletop gaming company that has been in the business since1967. Took me this long to find it. And they do Modern Military Warfare for both Land Air and Sea.

The Company is GHQ and it provides the best damn wargaming products ever. For land and air, the standard scale is 1/285, and on top of vehicles, they also have 1/285 scale men, though very small, i cant beleive they actually provide them so. Most of the Modern Warfare Vehicles, from MBTs to Armoured Personnal Carriers are being manufactured by them and they include many land forces elements that are from countries other than the US and Russia. This includes French Forces, Chinese, Israeli and many more.

Furthermore, with the small scale, u can field up to a mechanised company of vehicles or tank company and a battalion of troops easily in the tabletop game. On top of tht, there is room to play it all on a single large table and the cost of the products are not as crazy as warhammer. In fact rather cheap. For a Tank company with support vehicle, it will only cost 40 bucks or less.

Normally, most wargamming manufacturing companies would do only aircraft and land forces but GHQ goes the extra mile to do naval wargaming.. and furthurmore.. NAVAL Wargaming but at a smaller scale of 1/2400 which is super small.. but the detail is really crazy for its size. On top of tht. it is modern naval warfare and similarly there are quite a variety of ships offered in their company. Enough to make a proper fleet.

Here are some of the pics for the Land and Air 1/285 scale vehicles, aircrafts and 1/2400 Naval Warships and Submarines,

GHQ M1A2 Abrams

GHQ Infantry Men

GHQ SSN Los Angeles (The Naval Game even has Submarines)

GHQ UH60 Blackhawk

GHQ Infantry with Special Weapons
Note: All are according to scale

They even have the Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser. And look at the detail. Gorgeous!

GHQ AH64D LongBow

GHQ F15

GHQ really open my eyes to the fact tht Modern Military Warfare Tabletop games exist.. HAhah but dont worry.. im already fixed on my 1/700 Naval Models and My Battlefield Evolution collection and 1/72 Land forces Collection and 1/144 Aircraft collection. I already have too many to handle and my hands are full. Not too mention short on $$$$

Perhaps Somewhere in the distant future, i might take up a Tank Company, a Battalion of Men with Air Support and Maybe a fleet of Ships.. But that will be far from now. As for now i will stick to what i have acquired.

So take a look at the sight and see all the genres of Military Tabletop gaming products at
http://www.ghqmodels.com/ I noe u will enjoy it (Josh).. and tris.. I hate u.

Anyway, on another sidenote, my reinforcements (2 Sections of Forces of Valour US Soldiers) have arrived and has been received by Joshua (Thanks Dude for the help). And more will come soon. :P

Till the next feature.. Toodle loo!

Modern Military Warfare. I Love it!

Well I will be taking a leave from the Internet and my Computer as long as possible to do my work and revise for my exams. But one thing is for certain. I like the Shit(Hobby) tht i do, especially my military collection.

Will be starting up on my project again. Doing a major restructuring, maintainng and cleaning of my miliary collection.

As for now, yet another pic

On the road to victory? The DSHCC Forces have been in a long term conflict with the PTT Forces trying to liberate the state from PTT control in North African region. Is time runnig out for them?

On other note, Josh, my fren is interested in taking up Battlefield Evolution and trying it out wif me. If that the case.. Im gonna assemle a PLA Army to gear up. Was interested in Chinese Weaponary anyway. :D

Ciao

Amphibious Assault

One of the main armstrong armour of Marine Forces. The AAV-7A1 is the amphibous assault vehicle that also doubles off as a armoured personal carrier. It has an operating range of 480Km, a speed of 64 km/h on land and 13.5 km/h on water. Its main armanant is the Mk. 19 40mm Grenade Launcher and the secondary armanent is M2HB 12.7mm Machine gun. It has a crew of 3 and carries 25 troops which is more than the M113 can carry. But it is not known for its armour and is more weaker compared to the M113. There were a substantial lot of them damanaged or destroyed in the Iraq war but the "sardine can" is still the main forefront of armoured personal carriers for marine forces

A DSHCC AAV-7A1 in the desert sand.

Trying my best to save up to attend to most of my planned expenditure. U will soon find out my next transaction. It may be from Battlefield Evolution or Forces of Valour.. WHO KNOW!!??

Till then.. See ya (BUSY BUSY BUSY)

The Battlescene

Another week gone so fast,

Here is the feature today

A Dashland Armed Forces (DSHCC) M113 with a Humvee enroute to a city as they leave behind a burning hulk of an enemy tank.

It is at certain times u get the right angle and the right sky and tht where it makes certain perspective of the picture look real nice. I really like this one quite a lot and the silouette definition is relative to its distance from the camera. The road has a rough texture to it but it reflective nature dampens the picture a little bit.

I tried to make the smoke as real as possible but failed in doing a good one. In any case, the pic looks rather nice and hopefully i shall get some good reviews about it, rather than nonsensical tags.. lol

OMG.. FInally a Proper Mordern Tabletop game

Hey Hey there,

Im back with some interesting discovery on my part for modern military stuff. Today, I went down wif my frens, WT and Veron to Paradigm Infinitum and we were browsing around the shop, and i happen to find a tabletop game called Battlefield Evolution. And somehow or another, it seems relatively similar to Battlefield 2 computer game, just tht it uses figures and vehicles that are already painted to play on a tabletop.

They even have 4 factions at the moments. USMC, PLA, ETF and MEA.. (sounds very similar to Battlefield 2 forces including the Euro Force). Although apart from certain new interesting vehicles and the fact that MEA is more of a Terrorist Organisation with mediocre Civilian Firepower, which is rather different than the MEC force that is more of a professional army in BF2, the game seems to depict the computer game rather similarly.

I have not seen any of the rules or the gameplay, but it looks intresting enough to try it out. At the same time, the figures are not that bad and with certain tweaking, can be made to look as good as collectible painted quality.

This game is produced by Mongoose Publishing which brought to the public, the "Starship trooper" tabletop game and is now focusing on this new tabletop game development.

Not as well established as Games Workshop, Mongoose Publishing does not have the stability compared to the Warhamme rfranchise but at the same time, it has a great potential, especially this s the first Modern Military Tabletop game wif Ready-painted plastic Vehicles and Figures that are of relatively good quality. At the same time, it has an official gaming rulebook and looks to be developing furthur. Hopefully th eproject doesnt shutdown.. But with regards to collectibles, it is a good time to acquire some of its figures to add to the collection. Modifying and painting it will only make it look better, s there is no lost in taking an interest and checking it out.

On a detail note of the products, the vehicles and figures are on a scale of 1/65, so for most modellers who do 1/72 scale armor and figures, it will be slightly bigger depending on which model brand u support. Currently, i dun see much of a big difference between the M1A2 Abram scaled to 1/65 and 1/72, though it can be seen that one is but only slightly smalle rthan the other.

In any case, you be the judge and check out the game and tell me about what do u tink. Josh, u might also take some interest in it too.. Perhaps :p

The website is here: http://www.evocommand.com/the_game/the_game.php

I doubt it will be exactly this detailed for the real product as these products are all ready-made, and detailed painting can only be truly done by the hands of a MASTER.. lmao
