An Eye for Diorama.

I have been eyeing many pieces of Diorama recently and well, the price is a lil to painful for me to digest even though their ready made and look so awesome fo rmy military collectibles and models for display and phototaking.

Here are a two piece of diorama, price at 60 bucks each.

Rundown House

Destroyed Villa

These are good for Infantry shots and Maybe backgroud scenery for Armoured Vehicle shots.

As for airforce element, i hardly need diorama as i have the sky as my aid unless i need to take an airfield shot. The only prob is the Naval elements which requires sea which at the moment i have trouble to spot and the need for construction of a port which is also tough by itself. Well ultimately, i still dont have the $$$, but it will be a matter of time till i get it.

MUAHAHAHAH

Till then stay tune for more Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser pics and my features comnig up from the modelwarship webbie. :D

The Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser

And once again, another great view of the CG-90 DSS Lake. This is a front view of the ship on the sea. The Colour code is done wif as much close resemblance as the real one. Took quite a while and some great help from Joshua in the setup of this great pic.

I must say the ship looks great and all. With a good application of acrylic paint, i have made one of my best Naval Warship pieces. I guess my skills have improved as many have said and i will be making a new batch of ships to upgrade my fleet. With at least 1-2 more Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser and 2 more Arliegh Burke Destroyers to replace my Old Ticonderoga and Spruance Class Destroyers, the sight of the models in better diorama will be an astouding sight to see :D.

Onto other great news. My submission of my pictures to www.modelwarships.com has been successful. Both my Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser and the Adelaide Class Frigate alongside with the Sovremenny Class Destroyer has been approve and shall be featured in the website next next week.

So till the next pictures of the DSS Lake (which will be even better). Stay Nerdy!

DSS Lake!

Harloe, after much bugging and time consumption, i have finally come with the new batch of features which have better pictures and diorama backgrounds. Itis definitely and improvement from last time. And on top of that, my painting and modelling skills are improving, along with my photoshooting and editing.

I would like to thank josh again for his assistance to make the work look even better. And also the provision of extra machinery and accesories with regards to Modern Military Models.

With much furthur ado, i will now present the long await, completed Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser that has taken all this months to complete due to such lack of time.

Here is the first of many features that will be shown in the next few weeks of my completed Tionderoga VLS. I name it the DSS Lake. DSS meaning Dashland Sovereign Ship. As i had an idea of making a customised ship that does not have to be following the US navies standard ship. The no. tag is 90 and thus the CG-90 is here, in plain sight from a birds eye view in the waters, ready for operation.

DSS Lake. (You can see it in a fuller size at my Modern Military Gallery)

Notice, compared to my own non-conformed colour code of the USS Normandy (in previous features a while back). This follows a very strict colour code with strict construction procedures. Overall, I am happy with it, but with regards to the decals, it has been a pain in the ass as many of the decals kept disintegrating de to either being too old or something like tht. This resulted in me having to paint certain specific areas without using decal, and thus may not look so defined but acceptable enuff. I had to also paint certain disintegrating decals toogether, or mix painting and decal pasting together. That was by far the worse problem of making the model ship. I sincerely do hope my next Ticonderoga will be suffer the same issue, if not, its gonna make me piss and my hand sore of painting.

On a sidenote, it will be a while before i continue back with the next military project as i am having very minimal time to do work and keep up with life. But onto other things, i will be submitting some of my good quality pictures of my ship to the model warships website soon, and finally be part of a cool modern military naval webbie. :D

And so stay tune for more really great features and entries that i will most definitely be posting as i am more involved in the Modern Military Hobby than the other one for the moment

Till the next feature,

See ya all soon

And so im back

Harloe Harloe Harloe,

Im back from the rough, last week was suppose to be a week where i get to completing a few of my military model task. Despite a lack of time, i am able to say that i have completed a few task at hand. One being my Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser is finally finished, followed by some minor touchups on my old ships. All i need to do now is finished up the decals before i can procced to make next project for this year.

Another thing i have done is finally finishing up game and play testing of my tabletop military game. There are quite a few flaws that have been adjusted and several gameplay rules must be change, but overall, a 1 on 1 game would be indeed fun once the final improvements are made. Only dilemma that lingers is whether to make it a far simpler game or at a lil more extra features for a more wider and complicated gameplay. Both decisions have their drawbacks and advatanges. I'm still contemplating on it before i make my readjustments. Will let in on the update but it will not be before a long period of time.

And so with much furthur ado this is my first features of Armoured Vehicles on the horizon getting ready for an assault on the enemy.

Two M1a2s gearing up for battle

An M2A2 and M1A2 in the night on defense position.

AS for my next few features, it will be the usual one week routine though my camera is spoilt and will largely depend on when i can complete the photoshoot for my diorama and collection by the deadline. And so stay tune!

With regards o entries, more shall be posted.

Battlefield 2 Problems

Well recently, i played quite a few Battlefield Games and I realised after playing it for two days and accumulating over 1200 points and a few medals here and there that i wasnt receiving any points at all on my scoresheet. This happen to me before, so i tot by a day or two, it would update my stats.

To my horror, it hasnt. It was not long till i realised tht it has become a global issue and a lot of players since 16 June were notable to have their stats updated.

(Yet another crap shit thing due to EA Games, and im not surprised.) I just wanna get to the Rank Lieutanant and start playing on my own time. But now im stuck at Gunnery Sergeant, just a couple of thousand points away from the next rank. Ugh. I want my RANK and BADGES!!!

On the issue of EA's mismnagement on rectifying problems, here is a comment of one of the players who posted in the forum of a BF2 Stat Site.

"They keep making the games more graphic intense and expensive and all the time they just fly by all the bugs.
EA Beta guy: Oh I was on Karkand and walked into so many walls. This has to be fixed.
EA Dev: Damn I can't fix that by the deadline. Just don't tell anyone.
EA Beta guy: (Loading MPGH) Your secret is safe with me
Those that don't know mpgh just google it. Nothing there matter for bf2 anyways.
These big companies push what they can out the door and know it has bugs. We the consumer are left paying for BETA crap. When BF2 first came out it was so buggy. I didn't even buy it or support it for like a year after what I saw with my friends stuff.
It's crazy how they can just expect consumer to be happy with what they got. Sorry but if I was out to eat and ordered a well done steak and it came to me still bleeding the cook might end up in the same shape.
Just sucks these big companies have the money to buy out all these small designers or back them. Commercialism just plain sux. Everyone is out to make make make but yet when does society ever receive?
Look at gas prices, EXXON, Mobil, Shell ETC ETC are making billions. All while struggling people get their cars repoed cause they had to pay the gas card lol
Sorry for my rant but this stuff irritates me"

It really does make certain sense. But like Exxon, Mobil and Shell. EA is here to stay and make us Consumers of their Modern Warfare games. But still, it doesnt prevent me for being quite piss at such an problem that is happening.

Well i guess im off to do my work again. And it will be doing up my models now and tabletop modern military wargames for now for me. :p

Ciao

Building in Progress...

Hi there again. Since the end of my mock exams, i decided to take a breather this weekend and having the spare time i was given, i decided to continue with making the Ticonderoga VLS cruiser. I have completed till step 15 and have left 2 remaining steps to the completion of the kit. Wif this done, i will have progress alot for military modelling projects this year.

Similar to what i have mention on my other hobby blog, i have takenan interest in improving my diorama and i have already come up wif a few ideas wif regards to my military collectibles. I will be using some new diorama i have collected and on top of tht browse around the web to search for ready-made diorama tt are in scale wif my collectibles.

As for the model ship pictures i have, i will most definitely post my good ones to Modelwarships.com for viewing and perhaps get more fans and peeps to see my webbie. :) The amazing hobby blogs of which many tags but so lil visitors. I do sincerely wanna increase my hits on my blogs and will be more active in the Modelwarship forums as a starter.

And so while i prepare for my next batch of feautres for the remaining year, I will be continuing on my Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser which i will eventually brand its ship name. And soon after, continue wif my other vehicles and remaining projects.

Till the next time. Im signing off today :D

The Spirit above

Well a feature for u all before i go on another evn longer drought. It will be a while till the next feature. Let alone new pictures updated to the gallery. Life has been rough and so, naturally everything else is affected, along with the construction of my Ticonderoga VLS.

Today's feature is the B2 Spirit Bomber. With a cost value of $2.2 Billion dollars, the B2 spirit is by far one of the most expensive planes built in the world. With its stealth like ability and high payload of bombs. It is a "bomber unseen". It has the capability of taking both nuclear ,non nuclear bombs and guided bombed alike. The B2 Spirit is a subsonic bomber and even though it is not able to defend against Surface to Air missiles or air threats, its stealth ability makes it to a pure invisibility to radar.

Another capability of the B2 is taking on long hours sortie mission and being highly automated, and unlike single-seat fighters, one crewmember can sleep, use a flush toilet or prepare a hot meal while the other monitors the aircraft.

The B2 Spirit truly lives up to its name.

The Ninja of the Sky

The B2 Spirit

I like the nice lighting of the picture. In any case, things are still looking good and well in p rogress for my military models. I will definitely be able to achieve what i have set out for this year. And so, till the next feature. Stay active and keep talking on the tag board.
Cya ;)

No Pic today? Oh No!!

Yeap yeap. Today i will be focus more on the updates and other stuff compared to our weekly entry of features and pictures.

Well i have yet again done some progress on the Ticonderoga. From completing the Exhaust Funnels to Painting most of the Antenna parts. Assembling will be the next major task I will be doing. The ship will most definitely be done after all my exams and tests. That i can promise you as i am nearing the finish line of the construction of the Ticondegora.

I guess before i head on to my next ship project, I shall proceed on to the paint upgrades of the vehicles before doing that. With the oncoming load of task on my head. I will be featuring my last regular picture feature next week till the end of June. That doesnt mean i won't fortnightly come online to post on updates of the Ticonderoga and update on other Military news and Collectible websites that i have found. Picture features will just not be on the regular basis till June is over. So if one week i do not post anything, hope u all will understand ;)

In any case, Im very delighted at the great response of my Harrier jets and I must say that the more i look at it, the more i feel it was a great shot and I intend to do better for future shots with BETTER DIORAMA.

In any case, i will still continue my fixing of the Ship, but at a slower pace. It might even stop during the month of June due to studies. But i will get back on the work train and finish after the exams. July would be a time to expect to see the finsh product of the ship.

Till then, when i have the time, i would most definitely like to contribute my AMATEUR works to the model warship website i mention if they are happy to let me in. I do hope to get more involved in it. But as usual, I would like to emphasise the fact tht time is of the essence. Hopefully things will look a lot less busy after June.

This will also apply to my other hobbies.

Till the next entry.

Salute!

The Harriers on Alert!

Its another feature from th Modern Military Blog.
Today we look at the AV-8B Harrier 2. A common air support in an Amphibious Attack Force. THe AV-8B are situated in many amphibious ships of the US and TA Countries. The Harrier 2 is a sub-sonic jet, but makes room for compensation in terms of its special ability to take off and land vertically. With, 1× GAU-12U "Equalizer" 25 mm cannon and the ability to store napalm cannisters and laser guided bombs, it is an efficient strike fast bomber. Its AGM-65 Maverick are perfect for ground targets including tanks and they are able to deal with air threats with the AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles if needed.

The Harrier 2, the icon for amphibious air support when an Amphibious ship makes its asssault.

Took me a while to get the right positioning for the Harriers to be focused on the Ship. Plus the scenery at the back makes it look far more impressive.

On a side note, i think it will be about damn time i start to experiment on the table game. at the same time, i am still continuing to construct the Ticonderoga.

Till next week, im out again.

Military Collection. An Adult's Interest

Call me Old School, Call Me Nerd. But it is definite that Military Collections and Fixing of Model Kits is something that the Masses doesnt really do. And one thing i can say im one of the few in my country to delve my hands into. After goingthrough National Service and all, Im still a passionate hobbyist to it and would not exchange it for anything. Most of my Miltary Collection involves Collectibles and Model Kits of the War Machines of Land Air and Sea, these stuff are accompanied by Books of Modern Military Data and Stories and also badges and other apparells involving the Armed Forces. Till now, i have yet to find someone who shares the same depth and i nterest of the hobby similar to my age. And in the Decade of being in this hobby, i have not found anyone closest to me of my age.

Im still trying to master in modelling, but im improving and getting better in time. I can crop up a few Good ones. and still in the midst of making my old collectibles and models from Green Standard to at least better than a Novice standard. The only reason why i dont wanna make it Master class or Display Standard is because it takes a hell lot of time and dedication which as you can see i do not have. ON top of the fact that i like to get my hands on what i have done and fiddle (carefully) wif it. I like making many so i can also make great pics. And therefore well, photo-etching and all will be hard to maintain and prevent it from spoiling. But till the time comes, i will see whether i can even do that standard. As for now, its more of standard model fixing and painting, and also collecting Die Cast Collectibles and Plastic ones too.

So for today, here is a pic of my Armor Mechanized Platoon roaming the sand to their next objective while under the glaze of the Sunset.

On other news, I watched on Discovery, on the programme about Submarines:Hunter-Killers which feature the Virginia-Class Submarine. Great Show. On top of the fact that, the Navy never ceases to amaze me and stir me. I love the NAVY.. of which it holds a special place in my heart in my Military Collection. Oh and also recently, I have stubled on a website that is an Organisation of Model Warships. I remember coming across it once or twice but never regarding it as a informative website. But in real fact Naval Model Warship Sites around, which link themselves to other great naval websites. They have Lots of Modern Warship pictures and articles and forums. It is great, and I will put some of my pics there, which hopefully will get featured. I plan to get into it soon.

Of which i have made progress with My Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser. The Funnels have been done along with the Forefront Tripod Mast Antenna. Once completed, I will feature it here, along with that of the Modern Warship website, which is called www.modelwarships.com .

Till Next Week, Im falling out :D

Hurray for the tiny ounce of time

YEs, finally, i had an ounce of time to spare to do a lil construction on my ship. The Ticonderoga is more than half done but less than 3/4 there. And so all u buggers who antcipated the progress of my ship. Here it is. The antenna has yet to be fixed, but the funnels are already done. When the weekend comes, I should be able to at worst, put in mre parts. And the very best case complete the entire construction of the structure, though that would be quite hard.

In any case, enjoy,

And so I hope as the sunsets on the dockyard, that construction works will increase in productivity.

On other side notes. I have got my veteran Ground Defense with the help of WT and Qap. But have gotten quite a few medals since then. And though WT has got his navy cross. MY OWN NAVY CROSS I COMING SOON, along with a pr0motion. hehe. I LOVE BF2!

Will be reviewing the tabletop game soon. :D

Unfulfilled Schedule

As stated in my other hobby blog, its been an unfulfilling week of not making anything, and that includes my Ticonderoga. I must admit even with a week at hand i have not done anything significant in terms of model making. With my model table cluttered wif unfinish work, it is unlikely will i have enuff free time to make my ship. Even now, im rushing to have to completethe basic of homework. But i must say tht the early week has been consumed with blatant playing of BF2, where i have finally gotten my veteran command badges and a few silver and bronze star here and there. On count, i should need 4000 plus more points to get to my next rank as First Sergeant. :D hiak hiak

On other projects still not done besides the Ticonderoga, i was planning to conduct my tabletop wargame for land forces, but still havent got the right timing for it and so im not doing it yet.

I ave also taken some real interest in R/C stuff for modern Warmachines and am quite keen on the F22 raptor RC model. Though i also have seen the Japanese Self Defense Land Forces Armour Main BattleTank Type 90 for the Mini R/C that Konami has made and am also attracted by it. All cost a lot and even though it is hard to find Remote Controlled Modern Warship, i manage to stumble upon this Modern Warship Remote Control Naval Club that constructs their own to the scale of 1/100 which is VERY VERY VERY BIG. Something i honestly cant do now maybe never, to have the dedication for tht, perhaps tanks and planes but ship is really hard especially having to scrtch build it from the start. And the coolest thing is those boats can really sail on water. This club has a fleet of modern ships of same scale and even an Aircraft carrier which they dock in a miniscale Harbour that has ppl and equipment and their water location is a lake. Type Taskforce 100 on the yahoo search engine and you will see all their cool stuff. In any case, i have not fulfilled any of my promises, let alone taking pics of the uncompleted ship.

I will sincerely try and put it up soon bt as for now, here are pics of the OH58D Kiowa Scout Heli, Really Light and fast for reconnaisance and also deadly for dealing with Armour if need be.

The Patriot Missle and the M983

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The M983 Transport carries a weapon that is of primary importance to the Missile Defense Shield against Ballistic Missiles. Also known as the Patriot Missile, the MIM-104 is a surface to air missile and has assumed the role as anti-ballistic missile (ABM) platform, which today is Patriot's primary mission.

It is the only anti ballistic missile system that has have successfully engaged and destroyed a tactical ballistic missile in combat and the only SAM system which has successfully provided a maneuver force with tactical ballistic missile protection.

Onto other news, the Ticoderoga has progress a little since the last ime and the Funnels of the Ship will be up soon. A photo will follow up promptly. With a breather of some good span of time in the hols, it should be completed and the next project shall get into play. :D

Onto other military news, just played BF2 after a long while, MUST BEAT My friend's 32 Killing streak which is insane, but not IMPOSSIBLE. Time to get me a new badge too followed by increasing my points closer to 20,000 to get tht Promotion. MUAHAHAHAHA.

Till next time. See ya

Production slowdown

As said in my other blogs, you will notice that time is not a luxury or in abundance. Plans or objectives i have setout for the last weekend, ended up delaying. Do not even have time to post entry with pics. One thing is for sure, for this week, i will at least do what was projected to be completed. Besides, the one week hol should come, by then i will setout to complete the Ticonderoga VLS and if im lucky, many more of the projects set out this year.

On other updates, i have played BF2 recently with WT and Qap. Got my veteran badge for Support Kit and Ammo Resupply. WOOHOO. Long way from officer though. But Ultimately still the best modern wargame in the market.

Next entry will definitely feature a new pic. So all you eager beavers, stay tune. Will be testing out my tabletop wargame for the land forces next too after doing both sea and air. So will give you an update and review soon.

See ya

Standoff with the Enemy

Its one of those pictures i wanted to take to put the tension between friend and foe. Like the picture where tanks from the Western powers clashed in a junction with thoe of the Soviet sight. A really high tension picture which shows the wary feelings each ahved for each other.

Here, the DSHCC forces, clash in close range with the SCT Forces In the Open Area of a Rocky Desert Land.

Took me quite a while to setup this pic,in any case, it is away from the frequent plane pics recently. Next entry should be the display of the progress of my Cruiser. SO LITTLE TIME, SO MANY THINGS TO DO!

The Age Old Bomber that has seen it all...

The B52, since the end of World War 2 till present day. It has retain its role as the Strategic Bomber of the United States. For 50 over years, the B52 bomber has been in conflicts around the world, providing aerial bombardment for the United States. With a payload of 27200kg, it dwarves all bombers payload in the USAF. The Airforce intends to keep them till 2040 and if no bomber replace the B52H till then, its lifespan would be 90 years plus since the first B52 flew. A incredible achievement by any military aviation standards.

I present to u, the B-52H, Strategic Bomber, and Great Bomber in Aviation History

The C5 Galaxy in scale

With many of my models in either scale 1:72, 1:144 or 1:700, it is easy to see how big or small each model is in comparision to something else of the same scale. So as promised, here is my C5M Galaxy with an Armor Detachment around the plane.

Onto other note, its been a tiring week, and it isnt over yet. I hardly have time to fix parts of the Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser. I will get back to it on the weekend i guess. Weekdays are too packed at the moment. Progress very slow for the time being, will speed up soon if my weekends are ok.

The Sky Giant of the World: C5 Galaxy

They don't call it the Galaxy for nothing. The C5 Galaxy is a Military Transport Aircraft design to provide strategic heavy airlifting. Capable of carrying a load 179,000kg, that is equivalent to 2 M1A2 tanks and probably another M2A2 Bradley and extra baggage. That is most definitely a big load to carry. It is the largest Military transport in the USAF and one of the largest aircraft in the world. Designed to carry oversized and ousied cargo, it is a behemoth to behold.

Another view of the C5M on the runway.

On other updates, the Ticonderoga is 60% to 70% complete. But with the festive season going on and other agendas i need to attend to, i will be stalling quite a lot. There is still room though for my M1A2 upgraded Tanks. So far i have done 2 and 1 more left to be converted to M1A2, the rest of the vehicles are still awaiting the paint upgraded, including the 1:72 scale M1A2 from the Force of Valour Brand.

Falling out now. Ciao.
My next entry will be featuring the C5M in scale. Showing how big it is.. literally. :p

You want planes? U get them :D

Dogfight, F-22 vs Su-27

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Though it is highly unlikely this will happen as the F-22 is capable of firing AIM-120 AMRAAM that are capable of Beyond Visual Range (BVR) targeting and killing of the Su-27, on top of its significantly low radar signature, it is hard for the SU-27 to detect it, but it is a good view of Russian Technology against US Technology, with the two birds in high manoeuvre, it is a wonderful sight, I must admit the shadows of the F-22 and Su-27 spoils it, but nevertheless a good contrasting feature.

Any opinions on who would win? They did do a exercise simulation where 3 F-22 fought with 21 F-15s, in which the final combat result was all the F-15s shot down and none of the F-22 detected. Anyone can differ to that notion?

On other updates, the Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser is well underway, and could finish soon. I seem to be ahead of the yearly schedule. Which is a good thing :D.

Till next entry, RTB!

Joint Task Force. A game i have bought.

Well people, I have stumbled acroos a game when i was in Johor Bahru, Malaysia a month ago or so. The game titled Joint Task Force, uses Command and Control gameplay similar to that of Command and Conquer, only that the Units are all modern day warmachines and personnal. With relatively high action strategies, and realistic scenarios, it isnt as outrageous or as non-realistic as that of the Command and Conquer game. Thus i feature it in my blog.

But with a Gamespot review of 6.5, it is quite a disappointment to the top-notch reviewer, as it explains how the game has no room for errors and how rigid the gameplay can be. And with no muc of a good plot, and too much micro management needed and lousy AI for ur forces u need to spoon feed it with the ltiniest of commands, it is hard to absorb and enjoy the great battle scenes and urban fighting. I trust gamespot a lot to brace the fact it might be a crappy game. But nevertheless, u will hear my own personal review.

Toodles.

Adelaide Frigate Upgraded!

This is funny, because i have recently been doing a lot of stuff on top of redecorating all the blogs. And with my scary sleeping time, i decided yesterday to sleep early. I was about to finish up my potography near the wee hours of 2 to 3am when i decided to get on with upgrading my Adelaide Frigate. And I did it all, on top of upgrading two M1A1 AIM tanks to M1A2 SEP by just making the CITWs on the turret. As for paint coat i have not done it yet. Will do it soon though. As for my Ticonderoga VLS Cruiser, I shall pursue it to the next phase of its construction tomorrow. So without furthur ado, Here is the Finale of my Adelaide Frigate, the HMAS Sydney with the VLS upgraded.

With this indication picture among others, I tried to sculpt the VLS in its likeness

Well as for ur requests for planes, it will be on the next few entries. Pictures for a big part of these year has already been put in my gallery. So feel free to browse there. ;)

The reviews of these pictures will come at worst once every week guys. ;) So Stay tuned.

There will also be new stuff coming up too. I have receive some suggestion of a Showdown comic like review apart from the Blog entries. OF which i will contemplate on it.

Till next time. Im falling out. GOTTA SLEEP!

Long overdue of no features but new additions on Blog

As you may have know, its been a VERY Long time since i last feature ANYTHING. I have also promise for Plane models but hardly have the time to do any of my hobbies. But since i could not feature any planes, i was thinking why not jus add some pics and additional stuff that involves planes. So as u can see, its a lil moe colourful inside here. So pls bear wif me.. it will be a while till i show my next feature. But it will be quite a few aircrafts for the next few features.

As for upgrades of this blog, there will be more coming. I keep hush about it so u people will be excited about it. LOL...

Till then, i look forward to ur eager anticipation to see the next few stuff. Got quite a good response for this blog but so many do not come forth about the hobby. I hope it will turn out differently. In any case, it is my photo journalism of my hobby.

Wargame By Me

Well, Im a nerd, but i would like to see a modern day type of wargame similar to the Allies & Axis version. And well they dont have that. Yes Force of Valour has a tabletop rules which u can adapt for their models to be a game but it doesnt Have planes, Helicopters or Warships and submarines integrated with it or a seperated tabletop game for modern warships or planes. So i made a system which can integrate all three platforms of the armed forces using one concept and same stats. With a lil ideas ripped from Warhammer.

Will not review anything yet as i have to test out whether it can be a fun game or not.

On the latest update, i will be putting down this years projects i will accomplish before 2007 ends. There will also be a new sector in the sidebar where i will put my video link there so u need not have to revert to whatever entry to see it. And This year, i might just do another vid. The storyboard concept has been drawn few months back but i really have no time for anything.
Hear u want to see my planes too, and so i will be showing more for the next entry. Be sure to watch out ;)

Back to Dangerous Waters

I have tried out the game again and have completed successfully 3 more missions. Well of which the last one i have use the see truth option which enable me to detect enemy and classifying them as hostile or non hostile upon contacting them on radar. Its far more easier than the having to classify ur own bloody self whether its hostile and allso what variant of ship it is. I guess to be a real simulator, u gotta be goddamn adapt and patient to play this naval game. And besides, From a ship to a Submarine, u most definitely need more than a dozen man to manned and put the ship in harm's way to combat against and enemy, while ur playing it solo on the simulator. Its hard. Rock Hard for me even as a naval ethusiast who enjoys making models of modern warships then land and air models. Hard to find any other hobbyist who shares the same interest.

Guess I will be using show truth in the many other missions i will be embarking. They have some missions where you must manually steer ur goddamn ship out of a fucking port, and tht is bloody hard and requires some fast forwarding of time as it takes a long time to get it out of port onur own without tugboats, even for an Adelaide class Frigate.

With that being said and as i said before, the reason the game got an 8.3 cos it is TOO DAMN REAL. Dangerous Waters is not for kids, teen, or even adults who jus wanna bash smash and kill, let alone shoot and bomb someone. Its is definitely for a cold hard naval enthusiast who loves the time to take to be involved in Naval COmbat.

BMP2 and Updates

Been getting comments on people's likes for more Russian weaponary and so here is my feature for today. Even though the pic has been in my gallery for a long while, never really feature this warmachine on an entry. Well images will be even more clearer from now on. With the acquisition of a new Camera, expect to see more grater image and close up shots.

The BMP2 is an armoured personal carrier/Infantry fighting vehicle. The Peer to the US M2A2 Bradly, the Russian BMp2 can carry about 1 or 2 more personnals in it depending on the variant, though usually 7 additional personnals on top of the 3 Crew needed to man it. With its 100 mm gun and 30mm autocannon, it has adequate firepower. With the option of arming with TOW ATGMs, it has enough firepower if not more than the M2A2. But with the ill maintenance of the Russian Army, Officers have complain of its lack of efficiency from firing the gun to its electronic system. The BMP2 has indeed suffer harsh critics, but perhaps there have been much rectification since then.

On other updates, the painting and construction of my next Ticonderoga VLS Class cruiser is in progress, with Harpoon Quad Launchers ready up, on top of the Seahawk. The next paintjob and upgrade of vehicles will depend on the spare time i have though, of which I do not have a lot at the moment :p. It will be a while till my next update, but do keep tuning in or give me a buzz. :P

The LAV 25 done!

Yes my final paint job of the LAV 25s. These are the minature collectibles. Got a sudden liking for them due to their mobility and resillence in Battlefield 2! With their Bushmaster M242 chaingun, they are fine representation of armoured mobility on wheels.

Speaking of Battlefield 2 though, its been quite a while since i last played it. Two of my comrades cpu are downed. Only leaving 3 active personals which hasnt been totally able to meet up to play :P.

Anyway, take a look at the LAV 25 :D For ur info though, the LAV 25 doesnt have an ATGM, only the LAV TOW variant does. Enjoy the pics!

Another note to I recently discovered. If u military enthusiast remembered of the RAH-66 Comanche Attack Helicopter Project. Well it has been cancelled in Feburary 2004 to direct funds to upgrading and maintenance of current helicopters like the AH64 Longbow. Really late news, but hey, its jus me alone checking out for such stuff :p.

The Comanche has been put down along with the pic i have of it. Yes, i always keep updated with my photo gallery. As long as any War Vehicles Land Air or Sea have been decommisioned or put down, it will be deleted from my Pic Gallery along with being kept in the decommision containment area of my miltiary collection where most out of date stuff are. But perhaps it may come back. Who knows. :D

The Adelaide Class Frigate

Well, The Much anticipated HMAS Sydney, Adelaide Class Frigate. Also Known as the O H Perry Class Frigate, but sold to Australia and given the design to make the Adelaide class. One thing that i lack in the pic is the recent 8-Cell MK41 VLS for 32 ESSM which is install forward of the Mk13 Launcher that they have added on the HMAS Sydney. I will be doing the conversion next year, preferbly, but not now. :P Although my model is not so up to date, all the rest of the other Adelaide Class have yet to be upgraded and look as how My Model is featured.

Sorry for the Long Delay

I must admit there has been a long delay on the pics, even though I finished my Adelaide Class Frigate quite a long while ago, on top of the fact that i have a shitty camera with low battery life span, Thus i have decided to purchase a new one. Im still in the midst of painting the ticonderoga, doing most of the basecoat and getting ready o assemble the primary parts. Next to that, I have done some basic works up on the Tabletop Military Game. Gonna finish it soon.

Concurrently, my next project will be researching on how the M1A2 differs from the M1A1 and try to make a good mini model conversion. Next up will most definitely be pics of not just the Frigate but also the LAV i have done. :D Stay tune and HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND MERRY XMAS! :D

Here is a new pic before the new pics of the products of my projects will be shown. STAY TUNE!

Gunnery Sergeant!

Promoted to Gunnery Sergeant for BF2. hahah gosh it wud be crazy to count all the way to 1Lt. But hell its all in the fun of playing with Frens or Enjoying the Game. Still, i dun feel the grinding in it. :D Cos it doesnt force u to play and go back to it like an MMORPG does.

On other issue, the Adelaide Class Frigate is done. But i might need to do a conversion to add the 8 quad VLS for HMAS Sydney as stated. Hopefully i can do a good conversion job. But other than that the Frigate is finish. Next Project is Another Ticonderoga VLS Class Cruiser. And pehaps in the midst, do the paint job fo my other military vehicles.

Patiently Wait my Fellow Hobbyist :D

Progress of the OH Perry.

Well since I last left off, the O H Perry Class or a.k.a Adelaide Class Frigate was about 1/3 done. Now Im already more than halfway thru. Just need to do a few touchups here and there, before i can make it the HMAS Sydney since i cant really be bothered to make many conversions to make a current O H Perry US Frigate. In current Navall News, Most of the Adelaide Class Frigates are getting and upgrade, including the input of an 8 VLS panel for anti aircraft missiles.
Well after this ship it will be onto either the new Flight 2A Arleigh Burke or the Ticonderoga Cruiser. Similar to my other hobby blog, I plan to complete all my Projects in Progress that are displayed by the end of this year. Well the next entry will be the display of the final product, The Adelaide Class Frigate. Stay Tuned

My Transaction of the Ticonderoga Cruiser U.S.S Mobile Bay

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

After trying to wait for months from Hobby Focus to get the Kit, I was able to acquire it from Timemachine Studios on my unplanned visit to the store the other day. Dragon Models are indeed getting better. The New Arliegh Burke Ships have photo etch parts, something which I am totally unfamiliar with and will require some learning after I complete my pending models.

Have Just recently completed a paint job overhaul for my 2 LAV 25s, and will be onto the Next Vehicles and will show you reviews of the Construction Progress of the O H perry Frigate.

Till Then, JQ signing off.

Timemachine Studios at Millenia Walk

A year ago, I met my old Geog Teacher from my High School. We were talking about the Hobby of Modern Military Model Making. We discuss many stuff about the really Unique hobby we have that is not normally associated to many teens or kids. He is an avid Modern British Army Model Maker. and i got to discover it during those free periods in our class with him. Definitely a Zany Teacher and was quite intrigue that he makes Modern Military Models, he apparently has a battalion of soldiers and Armour Attachment the Battalion and Support Vehicles. From ranks and intricate details on the soldiers to the effects of his painting or so i heard, he has a collection to die for. But he focused more on the land forces while I am more of the all rounder. Well, he knows i frequent Hobby Focus (A Models Shop in the Heart of the City that specialises in Modern Military Ships Planes and Vehicles) and had recommend me a few places in Millenia Walk, well but being used to my Hobby Focus Shop i didnt really pay particular attention, besides i could always order the stuff I wanted from the SHopowner when stock is not available. On hind side, it would have taken a very very very long time, but he provides the best materials to paint though at quite a hefty price.

Well just the other weekend, I was walking along milennia walk wif my Pal WT, and decided why not I take a look at the Model Shops mentioned by my Teacher. Found one called Timemachine Studios and oh my god, it is liek a Dragon Model Heaven. They have everything from Land Air and Sea models of Dragon. Diorama and other accesories and Action Figures Included. Oh, and the brushes and paints are FAR CHEAPER!!!! I have always been a supporter of Dragon, and seeing this new store i have stumbled upon has let me to put this shop as my first choice stop for models, second would still be hobby focus for me to order particular models, but seeing that Timemachine Studio has the New U.S.S Mobile Bay Ticonderoga VLS Class Cruiser that i wanted and i have ordered so LONG ago but hasnt come from Hobby Focus, it will be a while before i go back to there. Just bought the Model Kit from Timemachine Studio, and i have even viewed some latest model ship kits i havent even seen from the Dragon Website yet.

For all the Local Singaporean Enthusiast of Modern Military Model, Dragon offers high grade detail Models, and Timemachine Studio is the place to go if u have not yet discovered it. Give it a browse. ;)

Its Construction Time Again

Yes indeed it is construction time again. This time I will be doing a clearance of some of the out of service vehicles, planes and ship to the storage place of past military machineries and start my painting coat of 2 LAV25s, 3 M3A2 and 4 M1A1 HA Abrams. Along with the continual construction and paint coat of my O H Perry Class Frigate. Of the 4 Abrams, I will be converting 2 or 3 to M1A2. Its gonna be a long tough way there as i will have lots of other agendas on my mind besides my Military Hobby. Till then, Toodles.

The Crossing

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

An M2A2 and an AAVP71 making a crossing through a bridge onwards to a conflict zome in the outskirts of the Urban area in the desert. From their military oversea station in Israel, the DSHCC heads out to quell the threat of their enemies in the neighbouring territories.

The AAVP71 is an amphibious assault vehicle. Able to thread over water and also acting as a personnal carrier for a considerable amount of troops is by far one of the most efficient troop carrier in the DSHCCC arsenal and is also quite distinct in the Marine Corp as an iconic troop carrier associated with the Marines. Able to carry about 25 troops, it is a big factor on transport, but there have been claims and criticism of its poor armour. But overall its ampnbious assault ability enables it to be still adequate along with its capacity, though slated to be replaced by the Expeditionary Fighting Vehicle or EFV by 2008, it will stay here for a while more.

SSN 688 Class Subs

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The Los Angeles Class Submarine, The mainstay of the Underwater Force of the Navy. The Basic Los Angeles Class Submarines has their fins on the top rather than at the side of their hull. Armed with the basic Mk48 torpedoes, they are the attack class submarines, the silent hunters of the seas and even though they lack the VLS system, they are still a formidable threat as a top class Hunter Killer Submarine.

My First Dangerous Waters Win.

Well, its god damn hard to play the game and my first win would be a transit to port using the SSN 688 Improved Class Submarine. Damn Simulations, have to multitask like crazy.

Well onto other Military News, with the recent battlefield Euro Force and Armoured Fury expansion out and a total of 6 new maps and a dozen new vehicles and weapons, it is tempting though for a price of 30 dollars it is quite a hefty expense. Overall though, it will definitely put more fun into the game even though the BF2 game itself is alrady way beyond fun already.

Status of me would be 600 points to Staff Segeant! Pass few games have also been rather intense as i play along with my friends online. Till next time Cheerios.

Another view of the M1A2

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Prowling thru the long roads of the suburban side, this M1A2 gears up for conflict against the enemy. The Open fields shall be run by these monoliths of war, and much of the rural and suburban areas shall be dominated and fought by these armoured vehicles. And so the Defensive Sabre Hand Command Corp fields its Armoured Regiments onwards against its enemies.

BF2 WAAAGGGHHH!!! Dangerous Waters TUFFFFF

Recently, my crazed for BF2 has heightened. its funny, i had the game for almost more than a year but the funyn thing is i was still preoccupied by World of Warcraft, and due to the fact that there were server problems and high ping problems during the early stage of BF2, but now, its a furious time of playing and playing. The award, ribbon and rank system is a real killer. Good planning and way to renew people playing again and again. It really covers up the grinding of the game and playing with friends online makes it even more fun. The best of all is the unlocks and a human factor of awarding people. You get fucked real bad if u teamkill and u get negative points, and in order to get certain awards or ranks require people's commendation and high score. I must say it is a better ranking than WoW goddamn Battleground system. When you achieve a rank in WoW, u have to MAINTAIN.. which is really irrelevant cause once u earn ur rank it forces you to PLAY AND PLAY. whereas Bf2 it doesnt do that. Yes i must say there is grinding but every battle is different. Every battle relies on EVERYONE and not an individual. And it really depends solely on skill to be recognise, and you can stop anytime you want. There is no push factor forcing you to play when u dunt want to.

On the other hand, today i tried my hand again on the Navy Simulation Dangerous Water, well u noe ratings can be rather funny, cos the ratings for this game was an 8.3 which is pretty high for a game. But it was high cos its simulation of naval warfare was really extreme. I really like the navy but with only layman knowledge of Surface radar to Air radar, to Active and Passive Sonar, its bloody hard to play the goddamn game. Man, maybe Im not cut out to be in the Navy, it is sophisticated, it requires much to detect the enemies below the waters and a lot of guessing. Man the menu is 100 pages long compared to the tiny booklet menu of BF2. Sometimes i think it was a waste buying the fucking game. I was good in Fleet Command, but this game is to realistic for me. Ughhh... Will try again if not back to BF2!!! WAAGHH!!!

T80s preparing for battle in the Desert

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"Across the white sand desert of Egypt, the Skull Commando Troop T80s rolls in, preparing against the threat of the Total Alliance forces. "

The T-80 tanks are one of the modern era Russian built tanks. With its 125mm Smoothbore 2A46 gun with composite armour. It is one of the main battle tanks of the former Soviet Union states. With a speed of 70km/h and weighing at 46 tonnes, it is almost 30 tonnes less than an M1A2 and thus it is more easily build and packs a deadly punch weight for weight. With 3 crew an a autoloader, it is a different MBT figting system compared to that of the Western Side.

The Classic Mig 21s

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Still in service in many third world countries. China has a Big bulk of it though it is a Chinese Variant. Definitely an old body that may not be able to match the Superior Modern Day Fighters, and thus China shall be using them as unmanned aircraft against enemy threat. But though it is inferior tody, it is cheap and easy to produce, thus their numbers can be a deterent against any cocky or complacent enemy pilot.

Battlefield 2

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

BF2. Its ADDICTIVE!!!

Sergeant DSHCC Now. 57000 pts more to Lieutanant.

The Apache on a Cliff

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The LongBow Apache is the ever present attack chopper of the Modern World. With Hellfire missiles and Auto Cannons, it is an ultimate tank killer that has proven worthy on the battlefield time after time.

On other notes: I have come up with a tabletop wargame for modern warfare that is based with some warhammer rules., due to my immense time i have. Been also playing Battlefield and have recently achieved the Rank of Sergeant! With 3 Unlock weapons now, its been a blast. Weiting has recently gotten BF2 and together Section Movement. GO GO GO!

WT's Game Review of BF2142: Apparently the less classes and multirole kits that the Game has to offer is to general and does not give the specialist type of gameplay which makes it rather unenjoyable. There are less vehicles aside from the new Mech and Air Units. The varying Customisable features is the up factor where as you earn your rank like BF2, the more inticate way you can adjust your kit to your needs. But the downside of 2142 is that it is not a world in which Modern Warfare Enthusiast and Realist can associate with. Not worth the buy if you alredy have BF2. For its transition from BF2 to BF2142 is like from BF1942 to BF Vietnam. To me that says a lot and i guess i will not be buying it and save cash for other items.

Toodle loo

M2A2 Bradly on the Road by the Sunset..

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

"A DSHCC M2A2 strolls down the lonely highway as it heads out to join the 10th Mechanised Infantry Regiment of the 14th Battle Command. Being part of the 101st Armoured Calvary Regiment, the M2A2 has a daunting task of eliminating personal and armoured threat in the Middle East terriotries that have been occupied by the Black Hawk Forces"

The M2A2 Bradley is an Infantry Fighting Vehicle capable of transporting a Section of Troops (that being 6 personnals), into the thick of the battlefield. Armed with a 25mm M242 Bushmaster Cannon and has the Side Arms of the Anti tank guided Missiles. It poses a threat and a deterence to both armor and infantry alike. Boosting a speed of 45mph or more, It is definitely a swift armoured machinery.

Too Bad Singapore's Bionix doesn't have the same ATGM attachment as the Bradley. It will make it a deterence against any formidable Main Battle Tanks.

Military Models' Trailer

Finally, the Youtube Trailer for my Military Models is here. It is an amateur setup, but i hope you all enjoy the Military Collectibles. Hu-Ah!
